What’s the plan?

Through a 1 hour and a half walking tour, we will visit La Casa de Los Balcones, the Eladia Machado craft house and Casa Lercaro, where we will observe the most characteristic elements, from the historical, architectural and ethnographic point of view, through various vestiges of the past that make evident the type of activities that were carried out in La Villa from the 16th and 17th centuries.

You will also know first-hand the history of the family that has lived in La Casa de Los Balcones, and the relevant role, both of Mrs. Eladia Machado -the first marketer of Canarian drawn thread works abroad-, and Mr. Carlos Schönfeldt -one of the drivers of the tourist activity on Tenerife island since the beginning of the tourist boom in the 60s, turning La Casa de Los Balcones into a cultural and artisanal space that can be visited.

We will end the visit with a local red wine tasting, and a snack with a variety of tapas.

We will meet at La Casa de los Balcones at 10.30am. Please be on time so we can start the walking tour on time.

Exact location: Calle San Francisco, 3, 38300 La Orotava, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Who will be there?

A maximum of 20 remote workers can sign up for this event. We will make sure we follow all the current Covid regulations.
