We are receiving many requests and questions about taxes in the Canary Islands. We understand that for many of you who have recently arrived in Tenerife might have plenty of doubts regarding how to pay taxes here? Or even where to pay if you are working for a company abroad? That’s why we have put together this workshop so that you can ask as many questions as you’d like.

?⁠ What’s the plan?

1. Presentation (30 mins): Jorge Ramos Herrera who is an experienced lawyer specialized in the Canary Islands taxes and works for the Asesoría Jurídica Gabino Ramos Bethencourt, S.L.p, will touch on the following topics:
– National Tax Office: personal income tax, corporate tax, freelancing
– Canarian VAT called IGIC
– Zona ZEC
– RIC (Reserva para Inversiones en Canarias)
– Investment in the Canary Islands
– Social Security in Spain
– Property taxes

2. Q&A (30 mins): we will then open the floor and respond to as many questions as we can.

It will be a hybrid event. There will be two ways of attending:
